Artist Statement – Angelica Fegley
I am Angelica Fegley, born in the warmth of Puerto Rico, now rooted in the coastal light of Long Beach, California.
I speak through color—bold, untamed, and full of feeling. My medium is oil, and my journey begins with a mark on an empty canvas, like a whisper breaking silence. From there, I let emotion guide me, pulling me into a dimension beyond words or form.
Art is my escape, my mirror, my mystery. In the solitude of creation, I find a sacred stillness—beautiful, vast, and unexplored. It is there, in that quiet unknown, that something unexpected always emerges. I never finish a painting the same person I was when I began.
